Thirty Years of Latin Banquets

NUMBER ONE, 1974

A young Mr. Mick carves the pig in 1974 at the first Latin Banquet. The pig had been butchered at his parents' ranch.
Phyllis and Rusty Leach enjoy the evening.  They were some of the parents who started the tradition of everyone coming in costume.
Dr. and Mrs. Robert Hayes were some of the well dressed elders.

NUMBER TWENTY-NINE, 2002

An older Mr. Mick gives the welcoming speech.
April 2002.
Jake is in the background. The South Dakota state capitol provides the perfect setting for the opening ceremonies.
Little slaves still serve the manifold guests.  Everybody who doesn't want to look out of place comes in costume.
A marvelous girls' quartet also sings.  Megan , Kim , Sara , and Kit
